Moving to WordPress

If you are current a follower of our blog, then that means you’ve followed the link on Blogspot to get here. But why? What was wrong with Blogspot? The answer is simple, there’s nothing wrong with it. I’ve actually come to really like it over the years. But, WordPress is where it’s at. Please allow me to explain why:

WordPress is what we call in the web design industry, a CRM. I’m sorry, I’ve promised in the past to never get too technical with you guys. But this is simple, I promise. CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management. So basically that just means it’s a tool that makes managing the website easier for you. So the short answer is, I’ve moved the WordPress because it does so much more than just blogging.

I guess the real question is, if WordPress makes making a website so easy, why would a web developer suck as myself promote it? The answer is, because WordPress doesn’t take the place of a web developer, it just provides him or her with more tools to do their job.

Sure, you as a customer could build your own website using WordPress and never have to contact a web developer. But the site you build will be a cookie cutter website that looks like all of the rest, and you will be limited on what you can do. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that. If that’s all you need, that’s a great option for you. But for those who want a professional and highly functional website, that is still easy for you and your employees to edit, WordPress is the way to go.

If you’re looking for a web developer who has a deep understanding of WordPress, and can use it to its full potential to make you and your employees jobs easier; than visit us at MalonesWebDesign.com.
